FlixTor is a media streaming site. It lets you watch the latest movies and TV shows for free. You don’t even need to make an account.
But it’s not the only video streaming service out there. Which FlixTor alternatives are worth checking out?
LookMovie is an ad-free movie streaming site. It’s easy to navigate, with a dropdown category menu at the top of the page and a selection of filters to narrow down your searches.
On the downside, LookMovie does not provide TV shows.
Read our list of sites to download free TV shows if you need new episodes rather than movies.
Another FlixTor alternative worth considering is TornadoMovies. All the content is available in HD, and new films are available within days after their theatrical releases.
Again, people who want TV shows will be disappointed. There are not any available on the platform.
5Movies is the first FlixTor alternative which does have both TV shows and movies available to stream.
Popular series like “Suits”, “MasterChef”, and “America’s Got Talent” are all listed along with their complete back catalogs.
4. Popcorn Time
The original Popcorn Time was the first site that took free movie and TV streaming from hard-to-use and ad-ridden services like ProjectFreeTV and turned them into a more Netflix-esque experience.
Of course, the original version no longer exists, but it was an open-source project and several copycats immediately sprung up.
Today, the best of the bunch is PopcornTime.sh. Streaming is not available via the website, however. You need to download a standalone desktop app.

Putlocker is a well-established site. It continues to exist despite a near-endless stream of threats from governments and copyright holders.
The usual selection of movies and TV shows is available, but there’s also a healthy collection of foreign-language content. If you’re into world cinema, it’s the best FlixTor alternative on the web.
We have a list of Putlocker alternatives if you still cannot find what you’re looking for.
WatchSeries is another well-established FlixTor alternative. It’s been through dozens of incarnations and domain names but continues to soldier on.
The site is more like the old ProjectFreeTV; each TV episode and movie has dozens of playback links. It’s potluck whether they work.
7. Movie Ninja
Movie Ninja offers free movies and TV shows. Check out the Most Watched section and the Greatest Movies section if you’re looking for some inspiration on what to watch next.
If torrenting movies isn’t for you, it’s best to try a streaming service instead. MoviesJoy aims to build a vast catalog of movies that you can stream for free. This includes releases that are currently only in cinemas. MoviesJoy also has a selection of Netflix Originals available.
If you do use MoviesJoy for new cinematic releases, don’t expect anything at a higher quality than a camera recording at a cinema. Movies that have been released on DVD do have high-quality streams available, however, so it may be worth waiting a bit to avoid the shaky-cam feeds.
On top of that, MoviesJoy may be illegal in your jurisdiction. Make sure you understand the security issues with MoviesJoy before you start streaming.
Popcornflix doesn’t focus on getting the big blockbuster titles into its catalog. You won’t be able to watch Frozen 2 on this site, or even the first one.
What it does have, however, is a nice selection of lesser-known movies that may have slipped your radar. These are independent and film school movies that may not have had the silver screen treatment, but found a home on the website.
Popcornflix even has its own section of “Popcornflix Originals” for you to try. These are movies and shows that Popcornflix has the legal rights to stream, meaning you can browse to your heart’s content without a guilty conscience.
If you want to take the legal high road when streaming movies, try Tubi. They provide a great collection of TV shows and movies to choose from, and you can stream them right away. Even better, it’s all totally legal!
The main “catch” with Tubi is how they keep things above the belt. The website shows advertisements in their streams, from which some of the proceeds go to the companies providing the content. As such, you’re technically paying for the content through each ad shown to you.
Unfortunately, due to the way that Tubi is set up, it’s only available in a handful of countries. People outside this geo-block will need to take additional steps to access the website properly, such as using a VPN. People use VPNs with Netflix to watch content outside their country, and you can use this same technology to watch Tubi content.
SubsMovies has jumped between URLs in the past, but looking for “isubsmovies” works at the time of writing. Despite this, it has still maintained the name of SubsMovies on the website itself.
SubsMovies has a good selection on offer. While you may not find the latest and hottest movies available on the website, you’ll still find high-quality rips of popular films. You can also find rips of popular web-based movies here, too.
SubsMovies has more than just movies, however. There’s also a generous amount of television shows available to watch. While these shows don’t get the same sorting treatment that the movies have, they still make a good watch.
As the website title suggests, the main draw for SubsMovies is the availability of closed captions for each upload. This makes SubsMovies a good pick for the hard-of-hearing, or for those who simply prefer to read along.
12. FlixTor.ac vs. FlixTor.life vs. FlixTor.to
FlixTor.ac and FlixTor.life are almost identical clones of the FlixTor.to site. However, they are not run by the same team; there is no connection between them. There is one small difference. Look in the lower left-hand corner of the page in the footer. On FlixTor.to site, you’ll see a link titled Valid Domain. The link is missing on the FlixTor.ac and FlixTor.life sites. If you click on the link, you’ll see the following PGP signed message:
