The last few years have seen an explosion in the number of sites that let you stream HD movie torrents.
Rather than having to use a torrent client to download the movie onto your computer, you can just stream the torrent in real-time directly from a website or app. Think of it as cutting out the middleman.
Here are the best torrent streaming sites for Hollywood movies and more.
Note: Web traffic generated using these sites will still look like torrent traffic and could land you in trouble with ISPs and/or authorities. Use a VPN to protect yourself.
1. Popcorn Time
Popcorn Time was the trendsetter in the sector and continues to be popular to this day. Unlike many of the other services, Popcorn Time has an app that you can download to your computer. You need to use the app to stream the content you want. The app is available on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android.
You can use the app for torrenting HD movies that have only just become available on DVD. In some cases, you might even find movies that are still in the theater, but they will not be HD quality.
Flixtor was one of the first sites to try and replicate Popcorn Time’s success. It lets you stream thousands of HD films from around the world. The site offers English movie torrents, but there are also plenty of foreign-language films for the movie connoisseurs out there.
If you use Flixtor to stream a lot of films, make sure you check out the My List feature. You can use it to collate a list of movies you plan to watch over the coming weeks.
To learn more, check out our list of Flixtor alternatives for free movies.
MoviesJoy also has thousands of HD movie torrents available for you to stream. The list includes some of the most popular movies of the last few years, including Star Wars, 1917, Les Misérables, and many more.
To help you navigate through the extensive list of content, make sure you use the site’s filters. It is easy to miss the Filter button in the top right corner. The filter lets you sort by quality (HD, SD, or Cam), genre, country, and year. Be warned; the year filter isn’t exactly accurate.
Following the same premise as the other sites we’ve looked at so far, 123Movies lets you stream HD versions of the latest Hollywood blockbusters, as well as hundreds of less well-known titles for you to dig your teeth into.
WatchSeriesHD is more focused on TV shows than movies. But we’ve included it in the list for one reason—how upfront the site is on the video quality of each movie listing.
You don’t even need to click into the movie’s listing to see; the information is displayed right there in the film’s thumbnail.
Most of the content is 720 HD.
Zona is a Russian site. Russians seem to specialize in torrents—RuTracker made our list of the best sites for downloading TV torrents.
Like Popcorn Time, you will need to download and install an app to access the 90,000-strong movie library. The app providers the backend to allow Zona to connect with torrent sources and stream the movies on your machine.
If you’re looking for a torrent indexing site rather than for a way to stream HD movie torrents on-the-fly, check out YupTorrents. It is less well-known but is one of the top movie torrent indexers on the web.
The content is presented in a Netflix-esque way—you can see the movie artwork and descriptions before you hit the download button. Several download sources are available for each film.
